General Overview

• The 4002‑10 is a conventional (non‑addressable) fire alarm control panel.

• It has a metal enclosure (red finish) for durability and visibility.

• Designed to handle 16 detection zones.

• Each zone can support up to 32 non-addressable devices (such as standard smoke or heat detectors) per alarm circuit.

• The zones are configurable: you can set them to be non‑latching (i.e., they don’t stay latched after alarm) if needed.

• There’s a feature for alarm dependency (coincidence detection): this means you can require more than one zone to go into alarm before triggering certain outputs, improving fault tolerance.

• There is a configurable delay timer (up to 10 minutes) before outputs are activated — useful for staged alarms or to prevent false activation.

Supervision & End‑of‑Line

• Uses a capacitor (condenser) as the end-of-line (EOL) device, for circuit supervision.

• Clear LED indicators: each zone has its own alarm LED, plus combined indicators for Fault, Disable, and Test conditions.

User / Operation Features

• Supports 3 access levels: different permission levels for users (e.g., installer, maintenance, end‑user) to prevent unauthorized changes.

• Single‑person test mode: allows one person to walk the zones and test devices without triggering a full alarm.

• Day / Night mode configurable: you can set different behaviors (e.g., sensitivity, output activation) depending on time or occupancy.

• Manual activation capability: you can manually trigger alarm devices from the panel.

Output / Power

• Has a supervised auxiliary 24 V DC output, useful for powering notification devices (e.g., horns, strobes).

• Two programmable non‑addressable alarm output circuits (i.e., you can drive external alarm devices or other panels).

• Relay contacts:

  • 2 unmonitored relays for “Fire Alarm Condition” outputs.

  • 1 unmonitored relay for Fault Condition.
